VR for education in the UAE: classroom VR solutions for schools, universities and training centres

Next Orbit builds educational VR for the UAE: classroom VR labs for schools, simulation modules for universities and vocational institutes, and safety and skills training for training centres, in Arabic and English. Students practise a science experiment, a technical procedure or a site inspection in a headset, the teacher runs the session from a console, and every attempt is scored and recorded in the learning platform.

Quick answer

What is educational VR and who is it for?

VR for education replaces a demonstration with practice: a learner performs the task in a safe, repeatable 3D environment while the system records what they did. Next Orbit designs and builds classroom VR solutions for K-12 schools, universities, vocational and technical institutes and training centres in the UAE, from the 3D content and scenarios to the teacher console, assessment, Arabic and English versions and the integration with your LMS. It is for institutions in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and across the UAE and the GCC that want immersive learning tied to measurable outcomes.

  • What you get. Scenario-based VR modules, a teacher or instructor console, scoring and reports, and content in Arabic and English.
  • Where it runs. Standalone headsets such as Meta Quest for shared classroom sets, PC VR for high-fidelity labs, and desktop or tablet 3D for learners without a headset.
  • How it connects. Results flow to your LMS through xAPI or SCORM, including e-trainia, the learning and training management platform Next Orbit owns.
  • Office. Next Orbit Technologies L.L.C, 509-23, Mai Tower, Al Nahda 1, Dubai, United Arab Emirates, serving the whole UAE, the GCC and globally.
  • Built around your operation The architecture is agreed with you before any code, so the system fits how you already work.
  • Proven before you commit A prototype built around your workflow shows it working before the main investment.
  • Ready for the UAE Arabic and English, UAE compliance such as VAT and e-invoicing where it applies, UAE hosting where your rules require it, secure by design.

How a typical educational VR system fits together

Before a line of production code is written we draw the system: the people who use it, the services behind it and the systems it must talk to. This reference architecture from our AR / VR development practice is the starting point we adapt to your operation.

How it runs

From first conversation to go-live

5 stages, each with a deliverable you can review and sign off before the next begins.

  1. 01

    Learning goals and curriculum

We agree the subject, the learning outcomes, the assessment rules and the languages with your academic team.

  2. 02

    Storyboard and prototype

One scenario is storyboarded and prototyped so teachers can try it in a headset before full production.

  3. 03

    Content production

3D environments, interactions, narration and assessment logic are built in sprints and reviewed by your subject experts.

  4. 04

    Pilot with one class

A class group runs the module with the teacher console; comfort, timing and scoring are checked and refined.

  5. 05

    Roll-out and support

Headsets are set up on site, teachers are trained, results connect to your LMS, and new modules are added over time.

Questions, answered

Educational VR in the UAE: questions we are asked

01 Do you provide educational VR in Ajman?

Yes. Educational VR in Ajman is delivered on site by the same team that serves Dubai and Sharjah: curriculum-linked modules, teacher console, Arabic and English content and scoring sent to the learning platform. Ajman schools and institutes receive the same programme as the rest of the UAE.

02 Do you deliver educational VR in Dubai, Sharjah, Abu Dhabi, Ajman, Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah and Umm Al Quwain?

Yes. Educational VR in Dubai and VR for education in Dubai are delivered from our office; classroom VR solutions in Ajman, classroom VR solutions in Fujairah, educational VR in Ras Al Khaimah, educational VR in Umm Al Quwain and VR for education in Ajman are set up on site by the same team. Every emirate gets the same content, teacher console and LMS scoring.

03 What does educational VR cost in the UAE?

Cost is scope-based: the number of scenarios, the level of visual fidelity, the assessment logic, the languages and the teacher tools drive it. Headsets and classroom PCs are quoted separately. After a short scoping session with your academic team we send a tailored proposal.

04 Which headsets work for a classroom?

Standalone headsets such as Meta Quest suit shared classroom sets because they need no cables or PCs. PC VR suits high-fidelity engineering or medical labs. For learners without a headset we provide a desktop or tablet 3D version of the same module.

05 Is the content available in Arabic?

Yes. Interfaces, narration, labels and assessment feedback are produced in Arabic and English, with right-to-left text handled properly, so the same module serves Arabic-medium and English-medium classes.

06 Can VR results go into our LMS?

Yes. Modules report attempts, scores and completion through xAPI or SCORM to your learning platform. If you use e-trainia, the platform Next Orbit owns, we connect it as part of the project; other LMS platforms are connected through the same standards.

07 Is VR suitable for younger students?

With the right design, yes. We follow the headset makers’ age guidance, keep sessions short, build in supervision through the teacher console, and provide a non-headset version for younger learners or those who prefer it. Hygiene covers and a rota for shared sets are part of the set-up.

08 Do you work with schools in Abu Dhabi and Sharjah?

Yes. We serve the whole UAE from our office in Dubai. Discovery sessions, pilots, installation and teacher training take place at your campus in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah or any other emirate.

09 How do we start without a big commitment?

Start with a pilot: one subject, one class group and one measurable outcome. The pilot module becomes the first item of your library, and further modules are added as the programme proves itself.
