ERP for trading companies in the UAE: one system for stock, sales, purchasing, accounts, tax and payroll
A trading company lives on three numbers that must agree: what is in stock, what has been sold and what it cost. When the store, the sales desk, the warehouse and the accountant each keep their own version, the business oversells, under-prices and files returns from figures nobody trusts. Next Orbit implements and supports e-tijariX, an ERP built for trading, distribution and wholesale businesses in the UAE, where every module reads and writes the same catalogue, stock, customer and ledger.

Quick answer
What is trading ERP and who is it for?
An ERP for trading companies keeps catalogue, stock, sales, purchasing and accounts in one database so that a quotation reserves stock, a delivery releases it at true cost, a goods receipt adds it, and every document posts to the ledger with VAT. e-tijariX, which Next Orbit implements and supports in the UAE, does that with multi-warehouse stock, FIFO and FEFO costing, lots, serials and IMEI, bins and barcode counting, a quote builder with margin guard and approvals, dealer tiers and credit, purchasing with three-way match, a full general ledger with VAT 201, Corporate Tax pack and PINT AE e-invoicing, HR and payroll with WPS, and a B2B and B2C storefront on the same stock, in English and Arabic.
The problem. A store builder, Excel quotes, an accounting package, a WPS tool and manual VAT work, held together by re-typing; two stock figures, no margin visibility and month-end reconciliations.
What good looks like. One stock figure for every channel, true cost on every sale, stock reserved on quote acceptance, purchases raised from replenishment rules and books that are always current.
What we deliver. Industry preset, catalogue and stock import with costs, warehouses and bins, pricing and dealer tiers, document templates, accounts and tax setup, payroll, training and support.

How a typical trading ERP system fits together
Before a line of production code is written we draw the system: the people who use it, the services behind
it and the systems it must talk to. This reference architecture from our ERP development practice is the starting point we adapt to your operation.

01Which ERP is best for a trading company in the UAE?
The one that keeps stock, sales, purchasing, accounts and UAE compliance in a single database and fits your trade without heavy customisation. For trading, distribution and wholesale businesses Next Orbit implements e-tijariX, which comes with industry presets, multi-warehouse stock, quote-to-cash, VAT and e-invoicing, payroll with WPS and a storefront on the same stock. For operations that need a bespoke process we build custom ERP modules; the discovery call settles which route fits.
02Does it handle several warehouses and true landed cost?
Yes. Stock is tracked per warehouse and bin with FIFO costing (FEFO for items with expiry), transfers and reservations, and every sale is costed at the actual cost of the units issued, so margin reports are real.
03Can sales staff quote without the ERP getting in the way?
The quote builder adds items by scan, typo-tolerant search, favourites, templates, bundles or Excel paste, autosaves, checks the margin floor and routes discounts above a role limit for approval. AI can draft the quote from a customer RFQ or bill of quantities.
04How does the ERP connect to the online store?
In e-tijariX the store is part of the ERP: one catalogue, one stock figure and one customer record. A website order reserves stock, posts to the ledger and updates the customer record without re-typing. If you keep another store, it can be connected through the API.
05Is it ready for UAE e-invoicing in 2027?
Yes. Tax invoices, credit and debit notes are produced in the PINT AE format, validated against the official rule set and sent through an Accredited Service Provider on the Peppol network, with status tracking and a tamper-proof archive. We plan the switch-over to match your phase.
06Can we move from Tally, QuickBooks, Zoho or Odoo?
Yes. The Migration Centre has ready mappings for those systems and others, with a test run, cut-over checks and full undo until sign-off. See switching to e-tijariX.
07Does it work in Arabic?
Yes. Every screen, document and email is available in English and Arabic with a full right-to-left layout, and bilingual tax invoices, quotations and payslips.
