Inventory management software in the UAE: one stock figure for every warehouse, channel and sale, at true cost

Inventory management software in the UAE has one job: to give the sales desk, the warehouse, the online store and the accountant the same stock figure at the same cost. When each keeps its own count, the business oversells, writes off stock it cannot find and prices without knowing its margin. Next Orbit offers, implements and supports e-tijariX, whose inventory module keeps catalogue, stock, costing and movements in one database that every other module reads.

Quick answer

What is inventory software and who is it for?

Inventory management software in the UAE keeps one stock figure per item per warehouse, values it at true cost and moves it with every quotation, sale, purchase, transfer and count. e-tijariX, which Next Orbit implements and supports, does this with multi-warehouse stock, FIFO costing and FEFO for items with expiry, lots and recall trace, serial and IMEI tracking, and units of measure with their own barcodes. Bins by zone, aisle, rack and level, pick lists by walking route and cycle or blind counts on a mobile scanner that works offline keep the warehouse accurate. Minimum and maximum rules raise purchase requests. Every movement posts to the ledger, so stock value and the books agree. Where a business needs conveyor, scale or 3PL integration, Next Orbit builds a custom warehouse layer.

  • The problem. Stock counted in a spreadsheet, sold from a store with its own figure and valued by an accountant at an average cost nobody can trace back to a purchase.
  • What good looks like. One stock figure for every channel, a reservation the moment a quote is accepted, true cost on every sale and a replenishment request before the shelf runs empty.
  • What we deliver. Catalogue and unit setup, opening stock with costs, warehouses and bins, barcode labels and scanners, replenishment rules, the first full count and training for every team.
  • Office. Next Orbit Technologies L.L.C, 509-23, Mai Tower, Al Nahda 1, Dubai, United Arab Emirates, serving the whole UAE, the GCC and globally.
  • Built around your operation The architecture is agreed with you before any code, so the system fits how you already work.
  • Proven before you commit A prototype built around your workflow shows it working before the main investment.
  • Ready for the UAE Arabic and English, UAE compliance such as VAT and e-invoicing where it applies, UAE hosting where your rules require it, secure by design.

What we deliver

Inventory software: what Next Orbit builds and runs for you

Pick a deliverable to see what it covers and the part of the stack behind it.

Deliverable 01

Multi-warehouse inventory with bins

Stock is held per warehouse and per bin by zone, aisle, rack and level, with put-away suggestions on receipt and pick lists ordered by walking route. Transfers between warehouses are tracked in transit. Reservations hold stock for accepted quotations and online orders until they ship.

From the stack

  • PostgreSQL
  • Node.js
  • Laravel / PHP
  • .NET

Deliverable 02

FIFO costing and true margin

Every receipt carries its purchase cost, and each sale consumes the oldest layer first. Cost of sales and stock value are therefore traceable to a supplier invoice. Items with expiry use FEFO. Count variances post at the FIFO cost, and profit is visible on every invoice.

From the stack

  • PostgreSQL
  • Node.js
  • Laravel / PHP
  • .NET

Deliverable 03

Barcode stock counting on mobile

Cycle or full counts, optionally blind, run on a phone or scanner and keep working when the warehouse has no signal. Labels print in Code128, EAN-13, QR and GS1 SSCC formats, on A4 or label stock, as PDF or straight to a Zebra printer.

From the stack

  • Flutter (mobile ERP apps)
  • Node.js
  • PostgreSQL

Deliverable 04

Lots, serials and IMEI tracking

Batches with expiry dates give a recall trace from supplier to customer. Serial and IMEI numbers are tracked per unit for electronics and phones. Units of measure such as piece, box, carton and pallet each carry their own barcode and convert on receipt and sale.

From the stack

  • Power BI
  • Node.js
  • Laravel / PHP

Deliverable 05

Replenishment and demand forecasting

Minimum and maximum rules raise purchase requests automatically. AI demand forecasting that knows the GCC calendar, including Ramadan, Eid and the Dubai Shopping Festival, suggests what to reorder. Suggestions become draft purchase requests in one click and flow into purchasing with approvals.

From the stack

  • Node.js
  • Power BI
  • Laravel / PHP

Deliverable 06

Stock management software in Dubai

Industry presets set up categories and specification templates for electronics, auto parts, building materials, FMCG, fashion and general trading. The same stock serves the B2B and B2C online store, so the ERP for trading companies and the storefront never disagree. Every movement posts to the ledger automatically.

Questions, answered

Inventory software in the UAE: questions we are asked

01 What does inventory management software in the UAE need to do?

It must hold one stock figure per item and warehouse, value stock at a cost the auditor can trace, and reserve stock for accepted quotations and orders. It must also support counts by barcode and post every movement to the ledger, with VAT handled on the sale and purchase. e-tijariX does all of this inside the same system as sales, purchasing and accounts.

02 Is inventory software in the UAE available in Arabic?

Yes. Inventory management software in the UAE has to serve Arabic-speaking storekeepers, so e-tijariX works in Arabic and English, with bilingual product names and descriptions and right-to-left screens. Stock documents such as transfer notes and goods received notes print in either language or both. Storekeepers and sales staff can each use the language they prefer.

03 How does multi-warehouse inventory work across branches?

Each warehouse holds its own stock, bins and counts, and branch-scoped access limits what each team sees. Transfers move stock between warehouses with an in-transit stage, and the online store sells from the warehouses you choose. Reports consolidate stock value by warehouse, category and brand for the group.

04 Can barcode stock counting run without an internet connection?

Yes. Cycle and full counts run on a phone or handheld scanner and continue offline, syncing when the connection returns. Counts can be blind, so the counter does not see the expected quantity. Variances are posted at the FIFO cost with an audit trail of who counted what and when.

05 Why does FIFO costing matter for a UAE trader?

Because the margin on each sale depends on what that stock actually cost, and supplier prices change with exchange rates and freight. FIFO consumes the oldest purchase first, so cost of sales and closing stock value tie back to supplier invoices. That supports VAT and Corporate Tax workings. This is not tax or legal advice.

06 When is a custom warehouse system the better route?

When the operation depends on hardware or partners the ERP does not talk to: conveyors, weighing scales, automated storage, cold-chain sensors or a 3PL billing model. Next Orbit builds that layer with its custom software and IoT teams and connects it to e-tijariX or your existing ERP through APIs.

07 Can we move stock data from Tally, Zoho or Excel?

Yes. The Migration Centre imports products, variants, barcodes and stock with cost from Tally, QuickBooks, Zoho, Odoo, Xero, Sage, Shopify or any spreadsheet. A test import writes nothing, and cut-over checks confirm that stock value matches your old system before sign-off. See migration to e-tijariX.
